Job Title: Supervisor - P21 Structure Systems and Interiors Design

Department: Design Engineering

Reports to: Senior Manager

Location(s): Philadelphia, PA, with less than 20% domestic and international travel

Summary of Position: (Brief description of overall responsibilities and function)

The primary responsibility of this position is to provide engineering support to production activity to meet AWPC's safety, quality, delivery, and cost targets. This position requires thorough knowledge of the rotorcraft structural systems as well as the standard aeronautical structural installation design procedures. Daily duties include, but are not limited to, supporting assembly and fabrication of all AWPC helicopter lines, with problem solving in fit/form/function questions and technical issues coordinating the solution within the LH Design Dept. The Supervisor is also responsible for leading a team of design engineers assigned to structural installations of helicopter customizations and completions, in compliance with EASA and FAA type certificate regulations, using the applicable design tools (CATIA V4/V5 - VPM/ENOVIA - DBT).

Main related tasks are:

Planning, tasking, and tracking the day-to-day activities of the Structure Systems and Interiors team to accomplish the goals and objectives established by the Design Engineering Senior Manager.
Supporting the Manufacturing Engineering team by coordinating new structural design changes to be injected into production environment.
Leading design reviews with internal customers to ensure the structure systems installations will meet expectations, including providing support to AWPC Project Engineers with new proposals and new customer driven designs.
Attending the design configuration board meetings and interfacing with Italian technical departments.
Managing aircraft design modifications by acting as liaison between AWPC Design Engineering Office, Program Management, Contracts, Supply Chain, and LH Structural Systems Departments.
Troubleshooting new structural installations and validating ATPs supporting LH Structural Systems Department.
Leading the design team for specific tasks such as detail design reviews, drawing reviews, and initial layouts.

Qualifications for Position:

A. Education

Bachelor Degree - Mechanical/Aerospace Engineering (Master preferred)

B. Experience

7+ years of experience in an engineering design environment, preferably aerospace.

Combination of education and/or experience which would permit performance of essential

duties and responsibilities.

5.	3D modeling and drafting in CATIA (preferred), MS Office, MS Project, SAP (preferred).
6.	Planning, organization, tracking of several projects simultaneously.
7.	Ability to speak Italian (Preferred).
8.	Mentoring and individual development of engineering talent.
9.	Ability to lead a small, diverse team, and coordinate with other teams or disciplines.
