Position Description

The successful candidate will work with a collaborative team at Sundyne located at the corporate headquarters in Arvada, Colorado. The Project Manager must be an energetic person who is responsible to execute the customer's order from start to finish. This demands a solid understanding of contract language, project planning, technical scope interpretation, budget management, schedule management and an attention to detail. Excellent leadership, communication and management skills with an ability to influence is essential to coordinate with customers, stakeholders, operations and the entire project team.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

Duties and responsibilities of the project manager include but are not limited to:

  • Manage multiple projects at one time

  • Responsible for Contract Management against purchase orders, terms and conditions, and all other project requirements

  • Generate project schedules and deliver monthly status reports to clients

  • Negotiation of equitable change orders

  • Coordinate with internal departments to ensure effective use of resources

  • Oversee project deliverables with cross functional teams to support milestone completion

  • Provide customer advocacy within Sundyne and strive to exceed customer expectations

  • Effectively communicate client expectations and information to internal and external teams

  • Coordination with customers and inspectors to perform witness inspection points

  • Monitor and maintain timely cash flow through management of progress billings

  • Tightly manage the project budget to ensure planned margin is maintained

  • Quantify and mitigate project risk

  • Maintain high quality standards for all customer deliverables

  • Deliver projects in accordance with the customer specification and Sundyne's standards, budget & schedules

  • Effectively plan, implement, control, report, and provide updates on all projects to Sr. Leadership team on a weekly basis

  • Conduct monthly project reviews with the Executive Leadership team

Assist in the continuous improvement of Sundyne's project management processes, systems, standards, and tools.

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in related field: Engineering (Mechanical) preferred

  • Minimum 10 years of related Project Management work with demonstrated direct responsibility for project completion with timely results

  • International project management experience

  • Experience working with customers, end users, EPC's and sales channels

  • Proven track record in leading and directing the work of other individuals assigned to the team to include: engineers, designers, drafters and document coordinators to achieve project goals

  • Demonstrated extensive project experience and good judgment to plan and accomplish goals

  • Ability to lead project teams within a matrix organization

Desired Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years of Manufacturing or Oil/Gas Experience

  • Working knowledge of concepts, practices, and procedures used in the oil and gas industry, manufacturing, chemical or a closely related industry

  • Multilingual capabilities are a plus

Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Proven leadership abilities

  • Solid negotiation skills

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • MS Suite experience with Microsoft Project, Word, Excel & PowerPoint

  • Ability to travel to domestic and international client sites as needed (10%)

  • Display professionalism at all levels

  • Mentor individuals and align team effort to meet or exceed project goals

  • Creativity, good judgment, critical thinking and problem solving

  • Display ownership throughout all phases of the project

  • Works well within the project team and at all levels of the organization

  • Strong collaboration skills to facilitate cohesive project execution between multiple departments within the organization

  • Must have a sense of urgency and be very detail-oriented

Compensation Details

Annual Salary: $110,000.00 - $150,000.00
