Plant Engineer -Manufacturing

About the Role

We are seeking a Plant Engineer to manage engineering projects, optimize plant operations, and drive process improvements in a manufacturing environment. This role requires collaboration across production, maintenance, and quality assurance to ensure efficiency, safety, and regulatory compliance.


Key Responsibilities
Project Management & Execution

Plan, execute, and oversee engineering projects from conception to completion, ensuring timelines, budgets, and scopes are met.

Develop project scopes, objectives, and schedules, aligning with stakeholders.

Identify and mitigate project risks, troubleshoot technical challenges, and ensure compliance with OSHA, FDA, SQF, EPA, and other regulatory standards.


Plant Operations & Process Optimization

Analyze and improve plant efficiency, safety, and product quality.

Collaborate with production teams to optimize workflows and minimize downtime.

Implement Lean Manufacturing & Six Sigma methodologies to drive continuous improvement.

Conduct root cause analysis and develop corrective action plans.


Compliance & Quality Assurance

Ensure all engineering activities meet FDA, environmental, and worker safety regulations.

Conduct risk assessments and safety audits to maintain a safe working environment.

Maintain and update technical documentation, including work instructions, machine operation guides, and training materials.


Technical Support & Innovation

Provide technical expertise for troubleshooting production equipment and processes.

Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies that enhance plant operations.


What You Need to Succeed

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.

3+ years of engineering experience in FDA manufacturing or a similar regulated industry.

Strong knowledge of FDA safety regulations (SQF, FDA) & manufacturing processes.

Proficiency in project management & engineering tools (Microsoft Project, AutoCAD, SolidWorks).

Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and leadership skills.

Ability to collaborate cross-functionally and drive process improvements.
