Job Description
Summary **This is a hybrid position with 3 days in-office required** The Senior Human Resources Information System (HRIS) Analyst position will be primarily responsible for partnering with the HRIS Systems Manager in supporting and maintaining the HRIS system, Workday, in addition to supporting other systems supported by the HR department. As a subject matter expert across all Workday modules, this role will serve as the primary technical point of contact for system support, including setup, configuration, maintenance, user support, testing, troubleshooting, and other related projects. The Senior HRIS Analyst will be responsible for ensuring data integrity, generating and utilizing various reports, calculated fields, and scheduled outputs to meet business needs. This position is also expected to proactively suggest and implement creative solutions to address the strategic and operational needs of the business, while identifying opportunities for process improvements through data flow analysis. MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS)
- Evaluates and recognizes the organization's internal business needs and identifies opportunities to best utilize the HRIS system to solve challenges and streamline processes. Makes recommendations and works diligently with internal partners to provide solutions to meet system and business needs. Documents processes for administrators and end users.
- Configure and maintain Workday modules, including HCM, Absence, Benefits, Payroll, Time Tracking, Advanced Compensation, and Time and Attendance, ensuring optimal performance and functionality.
- Provides support for HRIS system including researching and resolving system problems, performing scheduled activities, and recommending solutions or alternate methods to improve workflow.
- Designs, maintains, and supports a variety of complex reports and queries utilizing appropriate reporting tools. Develops standard and ad hoc reports to meet ongoing customer needs. Accountable for maintaining data integrity in systems including quality, accuracy, reporting, timeliness, and usability. Proactively ensure data integrity through queries and analyzing data, assisting with internal and external auditor inquiries and resolution of any issues encountered.
- Participates and leads special projects to improve efficiency within the department and recommends process improvements, innovative solutions, procedure changes to management.
- Builds and cultivates strong and effective working relationships with HR Business Partners, Payroll, and Benefits and other internal customers including IT team.
- Contributes to HR departmental goals, objectives, and projects to support the long-term effectiveness of the people strategy.
- Assists in evaluating department reports, decisions, and outcomes in relation to established goals, recommending new approaches, policies, and procedures to improve departmental efficiency and services.
- Actively engages in the Workday Community, customer groups, and networking opportunities to leverage the Workday network and identify best practices.
- Attend staff meetings and participate in other relevant meetings and seminars.
- Plan, test, and implement system upgrades and new features. Collaborate with IT and Workday support to resolve technical issues or implement enhancements.
- Develop and maintain detailed technical documentation, including system configurations, integration specifications, and procedural guides.
- Design and implement automated workflows and business processes in Workday to streamline HR operations and enhance efficiency.

- Provides recommendations to supervisor for potential improvements within the department.
- Adheres to all First United policies and procedures.
- Completes all required compliance exams annually.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Computer Information Systems or related field preferred.
- A minimum of five (5) years of HRIS Analyst experience and three (3) to five (5) years of Workday experience required.
- Workday Pro Certification preferred.
- Strong experience in Workday Absence, Payroll, and Advanced Comp modules preferred.
Knowledge and Skills Requirements
- Exceptional quantitative, analytical, data mining, and project management skills with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Advanced Excel skills.
- Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to effectively communicate with a wide range of people across the organization through all channels including written, verbal, and non-verbal communication.

- Excellent Microsoft Office skills. Advanced Excel skills (e.g. pivot tables, lookups, etc.)
