The Global Commercial Operations Director (GCOD) manages the support functions that are essential to sales and its productivity. Functions include planning, reporting, sales process optimization and sales program implementation. Reporting to the CCO, the GCOD is a key contributor to the overall Sundyne strategy. This position will work closely with leadership to ensure the appropriate objectives and priorities are enabled within the sales organization. Responsibilities
- Leads the development of tools for weekly, quarterly and annual global sales forecasting and its analysis versus the Annual Plan.
- Drive the processes to deliver accurate, reliable and timely forecasts and other data to senior management in a uniform manner.
- Supports in the creation, execution and embedding of the Annual and Five-year commercial x-Matrix initiatives in close collaboration with the vertical leads.
- Ensures sales team(s) meet their sales targets by leading and driving the effective use of our technology, most importantly the CRM - developing dashboards, data models, forecasting, implementing automation, and workflows where needed.
- Supports the CCO with the annual budget planning process and ensures delivery of effective tools to drive simplistic visualization of inputs/outputs - Assists in setting financial targets through budget development and monitoring.
- Recommends and integrates new tooling to meet business needs, problem-solve, and/or further improve the quality, analysis, and/or visualization of data.
- Designs and implements accurate, timely, and insightful reports against our target and strategic initiatives in which to derive and provide key insights for supporting the Monthly Business Reviews.
- Maintain and improves CRM hygiene and data quality for accurate month over month forecasting.
- Plans and coordinates training and development of the commercial team so that they're fully aware of what is expected while encouraging and recognizing their efforts.
- Provide training and facilitate onboarding of new hires, write playbooks and guidelines, career and performance management.
- Support the team with refresher training (when applicable) utilizing forecast best practices and methodologies, and ultimately embedding a culture of ongoing process improvement.
- Lead weekly Pulse meetings with the sales and operation team(s) with the latest up to date information for use in the company S&OP processes.
- Drive and support monthly business cadence for timely and accurate data collection and its use.
- Manage a team of analysists to support all the above actions and activities.
Requirements
- Must be willing to travel to meet with the sales team(s), as needed.
- Experienced in the tools utilized by the company, primarily the CRM (Microsoft Dynamics), ERP (JDE) and Microsoft products.
- Understand the Sundyne business and relevance to working with both OEM unit and aftermarket products.
- Deep understanding of data and its analytics in which to support the business and its future growth.
Education and Experience * Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Information Systems, or related field (MBA preferred). * 5-8 years of experience in Sales/Commercial Operations or a related role. * Experience leading a team.
