We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Quality Control Department Manager to oversee the quality control functions for our heavy civil construction projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of construction practices, quality management systems, and compliance with industry standards and regulations. This role is responsible for ensuring that all construction work meets or exceeds client specifications, industry standards, and company policies to maintain our high level of project delivery.

Salary: $110,000 - $130,000/yr.

Key Responsibilities:



  • Develop, implement, and oversee the quality control program for construction projects.
  • Establish and maintain procedures to ensure compliance with industry codes, specifications, and safety regulations.
  • Lead and train a team of quality control inspectors and technicians.
  • Collaborate with project managers and subcontractors to resolve quality issues promptly.
  • Conduct on-site inspections and audits to ensure adherence to quality standards.
  • Manage corrective actions, review project documentation, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Communicate quality performance and project progress with clients, engineers, and stakeholders.


Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 7 years of quality control management experience in heavy civil construction.
  • Strong knowledge of industry standards such as ACI, ASTM, and DOT regulations.
  • Experience with quality management systems (QMS) and construction inspection methods.
  • Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with construction management software.
