Description

Position Summary

Prepares and expedites commercial loan documentation for verification and review. Assembles loan packages assuring approval and supporting documentation are complete. Interacts with customers, legal counsel and others to complete loan packages and provide quality customer service.Levels I - II are differentiated based on years of commercial banking experience, knowledge of loan documentation requirements and overall responsibility in the role per leadership discretion.

Essential Functions



  • Reviews and compiles loan documentation, completes input/routing, and creates customer information file.


  • Initiates loan package preparation thru final processing to Loan Operations. Reviews all commercial loan packages for completeness, secures any missing documentation, and clears ticklers/deficiencies.


  • Request and assemble information to credit loan files for loan approval and credit review.


  • Assist in underwriting of commercial loan packages.


  • Communicate with counsel to arrange loan closing and preparation of legal documents.


  • Receives payments on accounts and performs various related teller functions, including NSFs and wires.


  • Communicate with other bank staff and departments to perfect compliance, policy, and procedure.


  • Prepares renewals, modifications and contact/monitor delinquent accounts.


  • Answers customer inquiries and assist customer in loan officers absence.


  • Recognize opportunity to cross sale other bank services.


  • Train inexperienced loan officer assistants and loan officers.


  • Prepares and submits scheduled reports.


Qualifications

General Qualifications

Required Education/Knowledge:



  • High School graduate or equivalent
  • Superior knowledge of commercial loan documentation requirements, regulations and Bank policies
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Must possess a high degree of detail orientation
  • Proficiency in basic computer applications and software



Preferred Education/Knowledge:



  • Bachelors degree and/or postsecondary education
  • Adequate knowledge of banking products and services
  • Prior experience in loan documentation and customer service roles



Required Experience:



  • Three years' experience in the financialindustry.
