The Part-Time Wine Educator is a primary Customer Services representative at Rombauer Vineyards ensuring a dedication to the highest quality of customer satisfaction delivered with a sense of graciousness, pride, fun, and company spirit. Promotes the sale of wine and non-wine products sold in the Tasting Room, greets all visitors and pours wines for tasting and describes wines, winemaking techniques, winery history, and provides general tourist information. This role will primary perform tasting and tours in addition to ocassionally supporting back of house operations including warehouse/inventory management, restocking supplies and maintaining general cleanliness of all tasting room spaces.

What You Will Need:

  • High school diploma or State-issued equivalency certificate.
  • Required to be 21 years of age or older.
  • Required to lift and move product weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Required to work weekends and a flexible schedule as needed.
  • Knowledge of basic computer operation.
  • Required to engage in frequent walking and standing.
  • Required to multi-task with focus on detail and switch gears quickly.
  • Experienced in reading and comprehending simple instructions, correspondence, and memos.
  • Experienced in writing simple correspondence and procedures.
  • Experienced in conflict resolution
  • Skilled in adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Required to travel to company offices, sites, and/or meeting locations for onboarding, training, meetings, and events for development, department needs, and business delivery up to 5% of the time, with or without reasonable accommodation. This may be in addition to travel requirements, if applicable, as listed in this job description.
  • Required to be 18 years or older. This may be in addition to other age requirements, if applicable, as listed in this job description.

What Will Set You Apart:

  • High school diploma or State-issued equivalency certificate plus 2 years of tasting room, customerservice, retail sales or hospitality OR Bachelor's Degree in Hospitality or Business Administration.
  • Knowledge of wine and wine production.

Compensation:

  • Hiring range posted: $22.93/hr - $31.01/hr
  • Plus tips and incentives!
  • Actual compensation paid within the range will be determined by factors such as the education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.
