Summary of the Job:

This role is responsible for providing monitoring, analysis and recommendations for the development of FNBO's Consumer Bank loss forecasting models for credit card and unsecured consumer loan portfolios.
The Senior Analyst, Risk Forecasting utilizes advanced data science and problem-solving skills to maintain and improve the accuracy of loss forecasting models and explain underlying trends in the portfolio and economy.

About This Role:

Major Responsibilities:

  • Perform statistical analyses to identify data trends and relationships and develop and maintain credit risk forecasting models. Apply time series analysis, survival analysis, logistic regression and other modeling techniques to develop credit loss forecasting models.
  • Document developed models according to the model risk policies. Communicate statistical analyses and forecast results, working with cross-functional areas, to ensure successful implementation.
  • Work with Finance to provide loss forecasts for reserve for bad debt, CECL forecasting, and portfolio stress testing, while ensuring applicability, efficiency, and accuracy of underlying statistical models and methodologies utilized.
  • Analyze complex business credit risk trends in relation to loss forecasting and macroeconomic variables, and present to management these scenarios and implications to business outcome.
  • Work with other credit risk analysts to develop, monitor and maintain an appropriate credit risk appetite.
  • Identify and explore new statistical credit forecasting methodologies/technologies

The Ideal Candidate for This Role:

Knowledge, Skills, Experience and Education:

  • Understanding of statistical techniques and modeling, strong programming skills.
  • Ability to work with data to identify complex business trends and propose solutions.

Required:

  • Master's degree in data science, mathematics, statistics, finance, economics, or equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years of experience in Credit Risk Forecasting or other related Forecasting.
  • 3+ years of experience using Python programming, with a focus on data analysis and financial modeling.
  • Strong knowledge of SQL and experience working with cloud-based data warehousing solutions (e.g., Snowflake) and version control systems (e.g. Git).
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively within a cross-functional team environment.
  • Ability to present recommendations and influence senior management.
  • Expert knowledge of Excel.
  • Demonstrated excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle stress, meet deadlines and work independently.

Desired:

  • Understanding of Credit Card/Consumer Banking Business Model.
  • Credit Card/Consumer Banking Industry Experience.
  • Experience with Logistic Regression, Time-series Models, Survival Analysis.
  • Experience with Python, R, and SQL.

Compensation:

Compensation range (base pay): $80,061.00-$132,099.00

Final compensation offer to candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon work experience, education, and/or skill level.
