We have an opportunity for a Strategic Channel Manager to join our Water Supply and Disposal Pump national sales team. Reporting to the North American Sales Manager, you will develop, implement, and lead a focused channel sales strategy focused on the plumbing wholesale channel and other key national distributors/customers. In this critical role, you will directly impact our ability to drive sales and profitability with these strategic partnerships.

** For this position, you can live anywhere in the United States within reasonable driving distance of a major airport and the ability to travel 25-30% of the time. Ideal candidates will live in any of the posted locations. ** #LI-Remote

You will:

  • Manage the relationship and sales strategy for assigned plumbing wholesale customers and national distribution partners across the United States.
  • Utilize a strong understanding of customer organizations' business, hierarchy, and needs to recommend and assist in the promotion, organization, and guidance of sales policies, practices, and strategies to maximize market penetration of products.
  • Establish annual account plans (sales objectives, tactics, responsibility, and timing) for key accounts.
  • Partner with product management, sales operations, marketing, and customer Service to elevate the customer experience.
  • Meet with sales organization, distributors, and customers on a regular basis to keep them informed about products, product lines, and production capabilities.
  • Coordinate sales activities and communicate customer product requirements with other departments such as marketing, manufacturing, engineering, and operations.
  • Support SIOP forecasting with information related to sales for forecasting needs.

Key Qualifications:

  • Have earned a bachelor's degree (B.A. or B.S.) preferred.
  • Have 5-7 years of professional sales experience, including experience developing and managing wholesale plumbing or similar accounts at the regional or national level.
  • Experience with sales of pumps, drives and/or systems, preferably in the water well or water disposal markets preferred. Product-specific training will be provided.
  • Experience developing marketing and promotional programs for national key accounts that drive increases sales and profitability.
  • Experience partnering cross-functionally with marketing, product management, finance, and/or operations in the creation and execution of sales strategies, policies, and programs.

Travel:

  • 25-30% overnight national travel to meet with customers, end-users, sales team members, and/or manufacturing site and functional leadership teams.

Compensation:

For California and New York City residents, the anticipated annualized total target cash (TTC) range will be from $101400 - $188200 / year. For all other candidates, the anticipatedannualized TTCrange will be from $92200- $171100 / year. At Pentair, it is not typical for an individual to be hired near the bottom or top of the pay range. Pentair considers various factors in determining actual compensation for this position at the expected location. Actual compensation will be commensurate with demonstrable level of experience and training, pertinent education including licensure and certifications, work location, and other relevant business or organizational needs. This position may be eligible for other forms of compensation such as sales incentives.
