We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented professional to join our team as a Product Analyst based in Morrisville, North Carolina. In this role, you will focus on analyzing competitors' PC products to deliver actionable insights that shape our product development and differentiation strategies. Using methods such as teardown analysis, benchmarking, and user experience testing, you will conduct comprehensive evaluations of hardware, software, and user experience, preparing detailed reports to guide the development team in improving existing products and creating innovative features for future releases.
In addition, you will collaborate with local US teams to identify target competitor products and define key checkpoints for analysis. Working closely with the Operations and PMO Manager, you will contribute to developing analysis plans, managing schedules and budgets, and overseeing the procurement and handling of competitor products.
This position also involves providing operational support for CPSD events and activities at the US site. The ideal candidate will possess a combination of analytical skills, technical expertise, and strong collaboration abilities to contribute to the success of our product development initiatives.
Job Responsibilities:
  • Conduct detailed analyses of competitors' PC products from hardware, software, and user experience perspectives, utilizing methods such as teardown analysis, benchmarking, and user testing.
  • Prepare comprehensive analysis reports to assist the development team in improving product features and creating differentiators for future products.
  • Collaborate with local US teams to identify target competitor products and establish key checkpoints for analysis.
  • Assist the Operations and PMO Manager in developing competitor product analysis plans, including schedules and budgets, by gathering input from local US teams.
  • Manage the procurement and handling of competitors' products within the US, following the guidance of the Operations and PMO Manager.
  • Provide operational support for CPSD events and activities at the US site as directed by the Operations and PMO Manager.
Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, or a related field.
  • Flexibility to work across time zones with global teams (e.g., Japan, China, etc.).
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Foundational knowledge of PC features and related industry trends.
  • Basic skills in teardown analysis, benchmarking, user experience testing, competitive analysis, report creation, and presentation.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate and align with local US teams.
  • In-depth understanding of PC hardware, operating systems, software, cloud applications, and industry trends.
  • Experience (including internships) as a writer or reporter in US tech media, specifically covering the PC industry.
  • Experience (including internships) with technology manufacturing companies, especially in roles related to product development, project management, product marketing, or product management.
  • Hands-on experience building PCs independently.
This position will be based in our North America Headquarters in Raleigh, NC. Our office has transitioned to a hybrid work environment supporting 3 days onsite and 2 days remote.
