Summary:



  • Provide transcription/translation on behalf of Executive VP and executive office staff.



Responsibilities:



  • Simultaneous (real-time) verbal translation from Korean to English during business meetings is the Primary R&R*
  • Will be required to translate some documents (PPT, Word) from Korean to English and vice versa
  • Consulting with internal Korean dispatchers as needed
  • At times, will be required to participate for translation purposes in evening video calls with Korea.**


*Note: Priority should be given to candidates with simultaneous translation (Korean to English) experience as it is much harder to do this than to translate documents from Korean to English.

** Flexibility will be granted to offset these occasions

Requirements:



  • A bachelor's degree with at least 5 years of related experience (teaching, translations, etc.); or equivalent years of experience
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to develop and maintain excellent working relationships with all appropriate executive levels within the company
  • Ability to communicate both verbally and written for internal and external personnel at all levels. Bilingual in Korean and English.
  • Handle highly confidential and sensitive materials and issues.
