Part Time- Occupational Health Nurse Practitioner Category: Healthcare & Medical Employment Type: Contract Reference: BH-382172 Part Time Occupational Health Nurse Practitioner needed for a contract opportunity with Yoh's manufacturing client located in Rancho Santa Margarita, CA. This clinic offers occupational, primary, and preventative care for employees. Must be comfortable working autonomously as you will be the only provider working alongside an EMT. Schedule: Monday, Wednesday and Friday: 7:00 am-4:00 pm Top Skills You Should Possess: Active/unrestricted Nurse Practitioner (FNP or ANP) license in state of California Current prescription authority (DEA a plus) Required: minimum of three-five (3-5) years' experience as a NP or PA in an Occupational Health, Emergency Medicine, Urgent Care, Corrections, and/or Family Practice type setting What You'll Be Doing: Treat minor work-related and non-work related injuries and illnesses for employees onsite Perform onsite physical assessments (pre-placement, return-to-work, fitness-for-duty) Triage Dispense over the counter and prescription medications in accordance with pre-established standing orders to employees with minor work-related and non-work related concerns (back pain, headache, pharyngitis, etc) Provide onsite testing for strep pharyngitis, UTI, influenza, hyperglycemia and hypoglycemia Work closely with Risk Management and Human Resources teams in relation to work-related injuries TB tests, drug screens, injections, and blood draws Respond to emergencies on the campus as needed What You Need to Bring to the Table: Current BLS Strong computer skills with previous experience using EMR and Microsoft Office products Interpersonal skills necessary to interview, teach and counsel patients and interact with clients/employers Confident with clinical decision making skills What's In It For You?
