HVAC Technician

Schedule: 1st Shift

Pay: $35 - $37 per hour (based on experience)

As an HVAC Technician II, you'll be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting HVAC systems, including chillers, boilers, refrigeration systems, and associated controls. You'll perform daily inspections, preventive maintenance, and ensure safety and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities:

• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs as per work orders, ensuring safety and compliance
• Inspect, maintain, and repair HVAC systems, including refrigerants, pumps, valves, and filters
• Troubleshoot and diagnose HVAC malfunctions
• Record and adjust equipment readings for optimal performance
• Manage HVAC inventory and conduct system tests
• Safely handle materials and assist with water treatment programs
• Install and maintain electrical controls (Electrical Journeyman certification may be required)
• Provide excellent customer service and collaborate with the CMMS Planner/Scheduler for preventive maintenance
• Assist with major repairs as needed

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED; formal HVAC training and certifications required
• 6+ years of HVAC experience
• Universal Refrigeration License and valid driver's license
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to interpret safety guidelines, operating instructions, and manuals
• Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, rate, ratio, percentage)
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and email; ability to learn new software
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Physically able to lift up to 50 lbs and perform tasks involving standing, walking, reaching, and climbing
