Overview

The Program Manager of School-Based Behavioral Health works closely with the Manager of School Health Initiatives and hospital staff to plan, implement, evaluate, and sustain data-driven school-connected behavioral and mental health programming in the community. In this role, the Program Manager: leads, participates in, and coordinates strategic planning discussions with/between hospital and school leaders to identify strategic alignment and growth areas; organizes and participates in educational opportunities for hospital staff to reach school and community groups; strengthens partnerships between hospital staff, schools, and community-based organizations.

Responsibilities

Manages and establishes School-Based Behavioral Health Programs in coordination with Developmental and Behavioral Health providers:

    Creates dashboards and tracks progress of programs in their entirety.
  • Assesses effectiveness of program implementation and supports future sustainability planning.
  • Supports the planning, coordination, and execution of mental and behavioral health school health-related special events.
  • Supports the oversight of the Community Outreach Portal and follow-up processes.

Manages program data for reporting to various internal and external audiences, including Community Benefit reporting:

  • Creates reports, presentations and articles related to program activities.
  • Utilizes quality improvement process to influence outcomes and services.
  • Engages appropriate stakeholders in planning processes and ongoing activities.

Strengthens partnerships and existing collaborative relationships with schools and education related community-based organizations:

  • Attends and coordinates school-based community outreach events.
  • Coordinates communication and engagement strategies with schools.
  • Engages appropriate stakeholders in planning processes and ongoing activities.

Supports annual collection and analysis of regional school related programs and services currently available:

  • Coordinates efforts to collect internal school-related programs and practices.
  • Supports in the creation of annual CM school-health catalogue mental and behavioral health insert.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree required. Education in Behavioral Health or non-profit preferred, plus 3-5 years' experience.
  • Experience in public health, community health and experience with school-based programming preferred

Starting Pay

Our pay ranges are market competitive. The pay range for this job begins at $24.31/hr, but your salaried offer will be determined based on your education and experience.



Remote Work/Work from Home

This position is not eligible to work remotely, which means that the person hired will be required to work onsite at one of our Children's Mercy locations and may not work from home.
