Contract Project Manager Position

Overview: We are seeking a Project Manager with at least five years of pharmaceutical industry experience. A strong background in project management is highly desired, particularly in clinical development. Proficiency in MS Project is required. The Project Manager will support the R&D Integration and Program Management department, collaborating closely with product leads, program managers, department leads, and cross-functional team representatives to develop and execute strategic and operational project plans to meet key program goals.

Key Responsibilities:




  • Facilitate the development and execution of project plans.



  • Manage, schedule, and facilitate project meetings.



  • Handle project and team correspondence, including agenda plans, meeting minutes, project schedules, and action/decision logs, ensuring all materials are current, properly circulated, and stored.



  • Oversee projects and promptly address issues or delays by communicating with the project manager and team members.



  • Monitor progress and manage emerging risks, gaps, or opportunities for improvement in collaboration with team leads and/or program managers.



  • Provide project leadership to the product team and key sub-teams across research and development, ensuring clear and open communication.



  • Collaborate with functional and project leads to identify, define, and communicate project requirements, scope, and objectives.



  • Support forecasting and budget activities in collaboration with key stakeholders.



  • Manage assignments and prioritize work to meet department deadlines.



  • Maintain a strong focus on teamwork, collaboration, problem-solving, and multitasking.



  • Ensure excellent written and verbal communication, organization, and attention to detail while working efficiently in a fast-paced environment.




Minimum Education & Experience Requirements:




  • BS or MS in a scientific or engineering discipline with at least five years of relevant industry experience (strongly preferred).



  • Expert knowledge of MS Excel, MS Outlook, MS PowerPoint, and SharePoint.



  • Experience working with project management platforms such as MS Project, Smartsheet, or Planview.



  • Strong verbal/written communication, time/resource management, attention to detail, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
