Responsibilities: This role requires following shop safety and quality procedures while performing various welding techniques, including SMAW, GMAW/MIG, and FCAW. Responsibilities include setting up components, welding metal parts according to engineering drawings, and identifying and reporting defective equipment. Candidates must be able to manipulate heat, adjust tolerance gaps, and pass performance tests for certification. Safe operation of overhead cranes and rigging devices is a plus, along with maintaining a clean work environment. Additional duties may be assigned by the Foreman as needed. Qualifications: Two to four years of experience in welding fabrication of vessels. Must be able to read and follow welding procedures. Must be able to perform 6G, 6" and 2" 45 degrees weld test. Experience on Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW), Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW/MIG), Flux Cored Arc Welding (FCAW) & Gouge to repair welding errors. Set up components and weld metal parts together, using both gas welding and any combination of arc welding processes.
