Contract Configuration Management Analyst

Description:

This position is responsible for controlling product information and documentation related to product configurations. The Configuration Management (CM) Specialist will maintain and manage accurate Bill of Materials (BOMs) in the Product Data Management (PDM) system and oversee the repository of released data. The selected candidate will prepare or review engineering changes and variances, investigating their impact on overall product baselines. Additionally, the CM Specialist will check CAD models for model-based metadata requirements. This role is primarily remote, but occasional visits to the office may be required.

Responsibilities:




  • Transfer documents to and from the PDM system to external partners.



  • Manage and track documents through workflows.



  • Review and track Engineering Change Requests (ECRs), Engineering Change Orders (ECOs), and Requests for Variances (RFVs).



  • Ensure proper approval authority of changes.



  • Check CAD models, drawings, and documents for compliance with company standards and program requirements before release.



  • Collaborate closely with Quality Assurance, Engineering, Manufacturing, and Program Management representatives.



  • Conduct configuration verification, auditing, and reporting activities.




Required Qualifications:




  • Associate's Degree in a Technical Field.



  • 5+ years of Configuration Management (CM) experience.



  • Proficiency with a PDM tool; experience with Windchill/PDMLink and ProjectLink is a plus.



  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.



  • Solid understanding of EIA-649 standards.



  • Working knowledge of Configuration Status Accounting.



  • Strong attention to accuracy and detail.



  • Exceptional organizational skills.
