South Suburbs- Hybrid position- 3 days onsite/2 days remote

Our client, a publisher of educational resources and studies is seeking a Senior Graphic Designer with both print and digital experience to manage publications and workflow. The core of this position will be focused on 70% publications; however, they also have an E-learning area that needs attention as well. This position is a one-person department with freelance support (already in place). Additional materials include curriculum, books, movies, and website.

Responsibilities:

• Provide creative direction and help develop products from concept to completion across multiple platforms (digital, web, print)
• Oversee and implement product redesigns
• Work closely with the editorial/content team to manage and understand the project deliverables, timelines, workflows, and attend weekly production meeting(s)
• Work with printers to maintain best practices for deliverables and implement cost-saving ideas and techniques; prepare final files for printer(s)
• Assist the marketing team with other design tasks including but not limited to website design, print and digital ads, brochures, catalogs, and presentations
• Create, maintain, and update design and process documentation as needed

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in graphic design, Marketing or related field
• 5+ years' experience in digital and print design (special interest in educational publishing and/or magazine design)
• Expertise with Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign, Photoshop, etc.)
• Experience with Content Management and/or Digital Asset Management Systems
• Experience working in WordPress
• Basic understanding of book and editorial layout and typography principles.
• Knowledge in web design and functionality (HTML/CSS a plus)
• Video experience is a plus
• Portfolio required
• Expertise in managing multiple projects simultaneously, meeting deadlines, and balancing workloads within the team
• Ability to set and communicate a clear vision that aligns with the brand and project goals
• Understanding of the capabilities and limitations of AI, a rapidly growing field
• Excellent communication and organizational skills and attention to detail
