Job Description: Airbus Commercial Aircraft is looking for a structure assembler to join their team based in Mobile, AL. The Aircraft Structure Assembler is a critical part of the aircraft assembly process. The position requires previous knowledge of aircraft structure assembly and skill to complete the allocated tasks on Quality and On time.

Your working environment:
Nearby on 'Airbus Way' you will find the Airbus U.S. Manufacturing Facility for commercial aircraft. Opened at the Mobile Aeroplex at Brookley in 2015, the facility produces A320 Family aircraft and added a second product line for the A220 in 2019. The facility, which strengthens the U.S. aerospace industry, is part of Airbus' strategy to enhance its global competitiveness by meeting the growing needs of its customers in the United States and beyond.
Your challenges:
Complete allocated tasks on Time and on Quality. Understand the Qualification process and be a SI (self inspector) stamp holder within the first 6 months on Station. Understand the build process and specifications within your allocated Structures Station. Coordination with other team members to ensure delivery schedule is met. Work in compliance with production work orders and supporting documents. (e.g. Quality standards, drawings and SOI's)

Required:
2 years minimum experience in Aviation Production or equivalent Previous hands-on experience with drilling tools, templates, drilling machines, fasteners, and torquing tools High school diploma, GED or equivalent Previous hands-on experience with drilling tools, templates, drilling machines, fasteners, and torquing tools
Preferred
5+ years minimum confirmed experience in Aviation Production Communication Skills (Spoken, Written, Influencing, Proficiency in Other Languages): Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Physical requirements:
Vision: Adequate to enter and read material on computer screens. Able to identify markings and digital outputs on calibrated tools. Able to read drawings and measurement tools for precision work on aircraft. Hearing: Sufficiently to engage in conversation in shop and production setting. Able to hear safety alerts and warning signals. Speaking: Able to engage in conversations in person and via electronic means and deliver information to groups of varying size with or without amplification. Equipment Operation: Able to operate a wide range of tools and equipment including hydraulic lifts and arms. Carrying: Occasionally carry up to 30lbs/12kg while engaging in aircraft activities. Lifting: Occasionally lift up to 60lbs/27kg. Pushing/Pulling: Able to push/pull items in aircraft and on shop floor. Sitting: Able to sit for extended periods of time at work benches or on aircraft. Squatting/Kneeling: Able to occasionally squat or kneel to work in confined areas such as Cargo Holds and Wing Tanks. Standing: Able to stand for extended periods of time. Travel/Mobility: Able to work outside hangers in changing locations. Able to work on movable lifts at the aircraft at a height of approximately 40 ft. Able to enter a wing tank through a 9.8 inch by 17.7 inch oval opening, while sometimes working in a ventilated fuel tank with a respirator in a confined space. Walking: Able to walk through office and production areas, around flight line and airstrips and sometimes on uneven indoor or outdoor surfaces other business interactions.
