In the role of Clinical Trials Office Disease Oriented Team Program Director I you will be working in our Cancer Center. Purpose Oversee the activities of the cancer center Disease Oriented Teams (DOT) within the clinical trials office, reporting to the Assistant Director of Clinical Research Operations. Provide a dedicated resource for process improvement, investigator-initiated trial development assistance, change management, and Disease Team Manager support. Retain a "single consistent message" from the Assistant Director and CTO Administrative Director while decreasing the isolation of the teams. Provide direction and guidance to the Program Managers and Program Coordinators to facilitate the achievement of the program's goals. Primary Functions * Direct program development. * Provide training, guidance and oversight for disease team managers. * Monitor quality assurance and compliance issues. * Oversee recruitment of program participants, and screening and enrollment process. * Initiate program development and advancement through literature searches, contact with outside programs, and review of new funding opportunities. * Maintain program policies and procedures. * Participate on appropriate committees relevant to the advancement of the program and the profession or area of research. * Provide guidance on the development of program materials including educational materials, marketing materials, websites, forms, and reports. * Ensure compliance with regulatory and institutional policies. * Ensure program data and progress are reported to program stakeholders. * Direct the organization of internal and external meetings, site visits, and special events. * Develop and manage program budget. * May perform management responsibilities such as scheduling people and material resources, maintaining program timelines, and/or managing program outreach activities including acting as a liaison with community organizations. Specifications Appropriate experience may be substituted for education on an equivalent basis Minimum Required Education: Bachelor's degree Minimum Required Experience: 10 years Preferred Education: Master's preferred Preferred Experience: Prior work with oncology clinical research Field: Science - human biology, nursing, etc Certification: CITI training within 90 days of hire.
