Position Details:

1st Shift 6:30am-3:00pm Mon-Fri

Your Expertise:



  • 2+ years in a manufacturing environment or education.
  • Ability to read and interpret Engine manual instructions and operation sheets and procedures.
  • Good mathematical skills and mechanical ability
  • Skills Desired: Strong attention to detail, ability to multitask, good communications skills.
  • Ability to use the following measuring instruments (OD micrometer, Dial Calipers, Depth gages and other types of measuring gages.

Key Responsibilities:




  • Reading and interpreting blueprints and technical drawings:

    • Accurately understanding and following assembly instructions to correctly position and install components.
    • Ability to interpret drawings and instructions to produce tooling.


  • Part preparation and fitting:

    • Cleaning, trimming, and aligning components to ensure proper fit and alignment before assembly.
    • Deburr holes and edges as required.


  • Assembly operations:

    • Using hand tools such as drills, rivet guns, wrenches, and specialized jigs to attach parts, secure fasteners, build subassemblies, and disassemble components.


  • Quality inspections:

    • Perform checks on assembled components to verify compliance with quality standards, including dimensional accuracy, alignment, and proper installation.


  • Troubleshooting issues:

    • Identify and resolve assembly discrepancies and/or defects as authorized per engineering and customer authorization/instructions.


  • Maintaining safety protocols:

    • Adhering to all safety guidelines and wearing personal protective equipment while working with machinery and hazardous materials.


  • Documentation and reporting:

    • Maintaining detailed records of assembly procedures, part numbers, serial numbers, and any quality challenges/non-conformances encountered.





Required Skills and Qualifications:




  • Mechanical aptitude:

    • Understanding of mechanical principles, including measurements, tolerances, and proper use of tools.


  • Attention to detail:

    • Ability to follow instructions and identify discrepancies during assembly.


  • Hand-eye coordination:

    • Dexterity and ability to manipulate small parts with precision.


  • Blueprint reading skills:

    • Proficiency in interpreting technical drawings and schematics.


  • Basic math skills:

    • Understanding of fractions, decimals, and basic calculations for measurements


  • Teamwork:

    • Ability to collaborate effectively with other assembly technicians, quality inspectors, supervisors, managements, and engineering.





Education Requirements:



  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) license strongly preferred
