Overview

Location: Onsite - Des Moines, IA

The Business Development Strategist will a key role in supporting Market, Ambulatory, Payor, Growth Service Line, and System strategies. This role is responsible for maintaining intelligence to build and inform proformas (in partnership with finance) and business plans. This function will also monitor competitors, healthcare industry trends (macro and micro), market trends, payor trends, and healthcare-adjacent entities.

Responsibilities

What You'll Do:

  • Focused on providing strategic insights sitting at the intersection of consumer intelligence, market intelligence, and business intelligence.
  • Builds expert level knowledge and support with market share, service line, referral, and demographic data.
  • Partners with relevant system services functions on patient experience, clinical, consumer insights, etc. data.
  • Supports leadership to identify appropriate new services and develop business plans, including cost benefit analysis and monitoring for capital expenditures/budgets, and implementation of approved programs with appropriate input.
  • Monitor regulatory, consumer, market, competitive, and business intelligence in partnership with analytics, marketing, and government affair
  • Provide Executive Director of Ambulatory Strategy and Business Development, Executive Director Market Strategy and Business Development, Executive Director of Service Line Strategy, and VP of Strategy and Business Development with necessary data or outputs
  • Initiates on-going market research to identify strategic growth opportunities and potential disruptors through visioning and environmental monitoring activities.
  • Assists in the development of collateral and research to inform Business Plans, Business Development opportunities, and inform/execute on key strategies

Qualifications

What You'll Need:

  • Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, business or related discipline required
  • Minimum 1 year experience in healthcare, strategy, or analytics
