Duties, Responsibilities & Other

Key Job Responsibilities:

* Assist the HR Manager-Benefits with employee leave administration, benefits, retirement plans and responding to general employee inquiries.

* Preparation of various reports for management.

* Coordinate communication strategies for employee benefits, including assisting with open enrollment, drafting announcements, and updating benefits-related content.

* Provide general administrative support to the HR team, including serving as the front desk receptionist as needed.

* Assist with maintaining leave plans for various states, ensuring compliance with FMLA, state-specific leave laws, and company policies.

* Perform other administrative tasks as needed to support the HR department.

* Support the data entry, record-keeping, and document management for benefits and HR systems.

* Assist with the preparation and distribution of HR-related communications and documents.

* Support the organization and execution of HR events and initiatives.

* Other duties as assigned.



Qualifications

* High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or related field preferred.

* Minimum of 3-5 years in an administrative role, preferably within HR, benefits administration, or leave management.

* Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), with the ability to create and edit reports, presentations, and spreadsheets.

* Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain confidentiality.

* Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.

* Familiarity with HRIS systems or benefits software is a plus.

* Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to interact effectively with employees at all levels.

* Experience with employee leave administration (FMLA, state-specific leave laws, and disability benefits) is preferred.

* Pre-employment drug screening is a condition of employment. Background and motor vehicle checks may be required based upon position.
