Department OverviewAt Motorola Solutions we are helping solve some of the biggest challenges around safety and physical security by developing advanced artificial intelligence (AI) technologies and products that are used to help keep people, businesses, and cities around the world safer. Motorola Solution's Video Security & Access Control Division is designing, developing, and manufacturing advanced AI, video analytics, network video management software and hardware, surveillance cameras, and access control solutions that help change the way people interact with their security systems. We are seeking a smart, motivated and versatile Embedded Software Engineer Intern. We are seeking an Intern who is able to work with us full time starting at in May 2025 and ending in August 2025.

This internship position is based in Fresno, CA and we are looking for this Intern to reside in the greater area as you will be required to go into the office on a hybrid work schedule.

Responsibilities:

  • Analyze, develop, design, and implement embedded systems for the organization's products and systems.
  • Develop test strategies, devices, and systems for firmware.
  • Integrate firmware to maintain functionality, throughput and consistency.
  • Develop user documentation.

Qualifications:

  • Pursuing a Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctoral degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or a similar field
  • Experience programming in C++, Python, or a similar language
  • Knowledge of Linux operating systems

  • Must be pursuing a minimum of a Bachelor's Degree (Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or other technical degree) with a graduation date of December 2025 or later
