Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Maximo Support Engineer with 6 to 12 years of experience to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Maximo Microsoft SQL Server (DQS) and exposure to Python.

Responsibilities

Utilize Maximo for administrative execution, application design, domain creation, user account management, labor/person account management, reports, job plan, PM creation, inventory management, work orders, work centers, and purchasing management.

Liaise with other technical staff to assist in resolving problems with software products or company software systems.

Design, run and monitor software tests on new and existing configuration changes for the purposes of correcting errors, isolating areas for improvement, and general debugging.

Assist in the definition, development, and documentation of software's business requirements, objectives, deliverables, and specifications in collaboration with internal users and departments.

Support Release Management and Change Control processes along with other compliance initiatives.

Use problem-solving and analytical skills to customize and support Maximo 7.6.1.3.

Provide a system support role for day-to-day systems operations.

Provide regular status reporting.

Collaborate with other internal Universal Parks Technology teams as needed to support the business requirements.

Desired Maximo Development Skills/Competencies

Ability to create workflows

Manage the creation/execution of Maximo queries

Ability to create/update automation scripts

Ability to create/update BIRT reports

Ability to create conditional expressions, data restrictions, escalations, communication templates and sig options

Advanced SQL skills

Desired Maximo Operational Support Skills

Ability to install, configure and maintain Maximo 7.6 environments

Ability to configure and troubleshoot Maximo Integration Framework

Ability to install and configure WebSphere Application Server (ND)

Ability to support application design, domain creation, user account management, labor/person account management, reports, job plans, PMs, inventory management, work orders and purchasing management

Ability to use problem-solving and analytical skills to troubleshoot functional and performance issues related to Maximo

Qualifications/Requirements

Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university is required; majors in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or other related field preferred.

5-7 years relevant work experience with Windows operating systems.

3+ years of application experience with Maximo.

Report creation experience is required; BIRT preferred.

Experience with relational database and operating systems experience with Microsoft SQL Server.

Desired Characteristics

Extensive relational database experience, Microsoft SQL Server highly preferred

Excellent understanding of Python and JavaScript coding methods and best practices.

Hands-on experience developing unit test cases and plans.

Strong written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.

Able to communicate effectively with non-technical staff and with members of interdisciplinary teams.

Highly self-motivated and directed.

Keen attention to detail.

Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Results oriented with a history of problem resolution and prevention.

Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.

Experience working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.

Effectively handle sensitive and confidential matters.

Theme Park or hospitality industry experience preferred.

Work Authorization

Cognizant will only consider applicants for this position who are legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship.

Compensation: - $90,000 to $110,000 +/- and this position are also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans. Application will be accepted till 03/12/2025
