At Cognizant Digital Engineering, a small cross functional team comprised of a Product Manager, an Architect, Full-Stack Developers, UI/UX designers and Big Data analysts builds higher quality software faster siloed individuals working independently. The Role:

Cognizant is looking for an experienced and innovative Lead Java FSE w/Angular and AWS to serve our diverse base of global clients. As a member of our team, you will build cutting edge, cloud-based software that powers modern business. An ideal candidate is someone who enjoys working in a diverse, collaborative, geographically distributed team. Location: Charlotte - NC Roles & Responsibilities
  • Senior-level full stack developer with experience in Angular, Java Spring Boot framework and API development and Reactive programming Experience in developing API Development and Microservices Web Development using Spring and Spring-Boot frameworks
  • Developer must have work experience in Java Reactive Programming
  • Developer must have Spring WebFlux Reactive Programming
  • Lead the design and implementation of scalable software solutions using Core Java and J2EE.
  • Develop and maintain RESTful and SOAP web services to improve application functionality.
  • Utilize Hibernate for efficient database management and data retrieval.
  • Ensure the integration of REST APIs for seamless communication between different software components.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve software issues.
  • Adhere to best practices in coding and design to enhance software performance.
  • Participate in code reviews to maintain high code quality and encourage knowledge sharing.
  • Stay updated with the latest technologies and trends in software development.
  • Provide technical guidance to junior team members and contribute to their growth.
  • Work closely with the project management team to meet deadlines and deliverables.
  • Ensure software compliance with security protocols and data protection standards.
  • Optimize existing software applications for improved performance and scalability.
  • Candidate will have a strong background in Core Java, Hibernate, J2EE, and web services, with a preference for those with experience in the Cards & Payments domain.
  • This role involves designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality software that meets our client needs.
  • Perform Java development activities and build REST API's that are used by several teams.
  • Perform POC's to prove the concepts work.
  • Represent the team in meetings with other projects.
  • Monitor the system performance by performing regular tests, troubleshooting, and integrating new features.
  • Recommend solutions to improve new and existing design.
  • Participate in Code review meetings.
  • Monitor Code quality and consistently strive for improvement.
  • Educate staff members through training and individual support.
  • Offer support by responding to system problems in a timely manner.
  • Understand and document data flows in and between different systems/applications.
Qualifications:
  • Required minimum 8 to 12 Yrs of overall experience in Java/ J2EE technology along with Spring Framework and Spring Boot
  • Developer must have 8 to 12 Yrs working experience in Java 11 or Java 17
  • Developer must have minimum 4 yrs working experience in Angular 11 and above versions.
  • Proven Working experience in Core Java 11 or Java 17, J2EE, Rest API, REST Web Services, SOAP, and XML is mandatory, Spring Framework, Spring boot services.
  • Proven working experience in Java Reactive Programming and functional programming
  • Proven working experience in Spring WebFlux Reactive Programming
  • Proven working experience in Angular 11 and above versions
  • Proven working experience in RESTAPI and Microservice creation

Required Skills: Java (Java 11 or Java 17) Reactive Programming, Spring Framework, Spring boot, Spring WebFlux, Angular 11, AWS, Kafka, and SQL, NoSQl and Postgresql Database

Applications will be accepted until 3/11/2025 Salary and Other Compensation:

The annual salary for this position is between $81,3372K - $141,500K depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
