AWS Data Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Sr. Developer with 5 to 7 years of experience in AWS Cloud Formation AWS CloudWatch AWS Glue Catalog AWS DevOps AWS IAM Python and SQL. The ideal candidate will have domain expertise in Cards & Payments. This is a hybrid work model with day shifts and no travel required.

• Develop and maintain AWS infrastructure using AWS Cloud Formation to ensure scalable and reliable cloud solutions.
• Supervise and lead cloud resources using AWS CloudWatch to ensure efficient performance and availability.
• Apply AWS Glue Catalog for efficient data cataloging and management to support data analytics and reporting.
• Implement and lead CI/CD pipelines using AWS DevOps to streamline development and deployment processes.
• Handle user access and permissions using AWS IAM to ensure secure and compliant cloud environments.
• Write and maintain Python scripts for automation and data processing tasks to improve efficiency and accuracy.
• Develop and optimize SQL queries for data retrieval and manipulation to support various business needs.
• Collaborate with multi-functional teams to craft and implement solutions that meet business requirements in the Cards & Payments domain.
• Provide technical mentorship and support to team members to ensure successful project delivery.
• Conduct code reviews and ensure alignment to coding standards and best practices to maintain code quality.
• Solve and resolve technical issues related to cloud infrastructure and applications to minimize downtime.
• Stay updated with the latest AWS services and features to continuously improve cloud solutions.
• Document technical specifications and project plans to ensure clear communication and alignment with team members.

• Possess solid experience in AWS Cloud Formation AWS CloudWatch AWS Glue Catalog AWS DevOps AWS IAM.
• Show strength in Python and SQL for scripting and data manipulation tasks.
• Have domain expertise in Cards & Payments to understand and address industry-specific challenges.
• Show ability to work in a hybrid work model with effective communication and teamwork skills.
• Exhibit problem-solving skills to solve and resolve technical issues efficiently.
• Display knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and standard processes for continuous integration and deployment.

The annual salary for this position is depending on the experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
