Job Duties and Responsibilities: Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Infra. Technology Specialist with 8+ years of experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in Linux Admin (RHEL/SLES/OEL) Kubernetes and Docker Container. This role involves maintaining and updating systems ensuring seamless operations and contributing to our company's technological advancements. The position is hybrid with day shifts and does not require travel.

Responsibilities
  • Administer and support core RedHat SUSE and Ubuntu Linux operating systems
  • Design install and configure internal and customer facing servers gold image servers OS hardening etc.
  • Proactively manage and maintain LINUX servers and pacemaker clusters
  • Develop and implement project plans risk assessments and contingency plans
  • Design and implement monitoring configuration management and reporting functions that will make a hands-off environment
  • Define and document best practices and support procedures
  • Provide after-hours support for Infrastructure related emergencies as well occasional weekend maintenance
  • Maintain inventory and asset configuration documentation
  • Assist with hardware AWS EC2 instances security agents and software vendor evaluation recommendation and negotiations
  • Mentor / cross train team members on existing and new technologies
  • Carry out special tasks at Managements direction
  • Interact with customers and staff at the technical level as required.
Qualifications:
  • Advanced knowledge of RedHat SuSe and Ubuntu servers administration in AWS Cloud
  • Managing more than 350 LINUX Server infrastructure
  • Managing patching using SSM deployments/rollouts
  • Managing large scale LINUX Server installations
  • Managing Pacemaker cluster technologies in SuSe LINUX servers for SAP environment
  • A solid understanding of Life cycle & vulnerability management in LINUX servers running on AWS Cloud
  • Managing LINUX systems audit CIS hardening access management etc
  • Managing automation using ansible & shell scripts
  • Ability to troubleshoot system configuration issues including back bone infrastructure issues
Salary and Other Compensation:

This role is accepting application through 3/11/2025.

The annual salary for this position is between $49,000-$107,000 USD depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program and stock awards, based on performance and is subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
