This is a hybrid position that requires onsite presence as needed. Candidates must be residents of Wisconsin and able to commute to the office when required.

Are you a detail-oriented financial professional who excels at analyzing data and driving strategic insights? We're looking for a Financial Analyst - Insurance & Regulatory to join our team! In this role, you'll work closely with senior financial analysts and leadership to review financial data, ensure compliance with regulatory reporting, and support key business decisions. What You'll Do:



  • Prepare reports, including financial statements, membership/utilization reports, and regulatory filings.
  • Ensure compliance with government regulations (like Health Care Reform requirements).
  • Help track the financial health of our insurance operations.
  • Analyze financial data to help guide strategic decisions.
  • Develop and improve systems for collecting, verifying, and reporting financial data.

  • Experience in cost accounting, insurance regulatory reporting, and/or financial analysis.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.
  • A team player who can also work independently.



The Financial Analyst - Insurance and Regulatory supports the Senior Financial Analyst and financial management staff by handling financial analysis and regulatory tasks, including reporting and filing. Responsibilities include preparing internal and external reports such as financial statements, utilization reports, membership reports, and statutory filings. The role ensures accurate collection, analysis, and reporting of financial data to support the insurance organization's financial status. The Financial Analyst works independently under the guidance of the Financial Planning & Analysis Supervisor.

Job Specific Minimum Qualifications



  1. Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in accounting, business/health care administration or finance is required, or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
  2. Minimum of three (3) years of financial analysis and accounting experience is required. Experience in healthcare and/or insurance is highly desirable.
  3. Demonstrated thorough knowledge of generally accepted accounting and internal control principles. Understanding of regulatory requirements and filings and financial analysis, budget and financial reporting processes is required.
  4. Ability to prepare regulatory mandated filings and financial reports/statements is required.
  5. Experience with and understanding of general ledger accounting systems, including reporting software. Knowledge of and/or ability to learn and effectively use GHC-SCW software and financial systems. Experience with Epic is desirable.
  6. Intermediate to advanced knowledge of and ability to use computer software programs and systems including Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook) is required.
  7. Ability to analyze financial data and make recommendations is required.
  8. Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of management is required.
  9. Excellent customer service abilities. Ability to work with diverse populations. Ability to foster a cooperative work environment.
  10. Ability to maintain patient, organizational and financial confidentiality is required. Ability to learn and/or knowledge of HIPAA requirements required.
  11. Strong analytical skills, ability to pay attention to detail and excellent organizational skills are required.
  12. Ability to work on multiple tasks and the ability to prioritize are required.
  13. Ability to use a computer keyboard extensively is required.
  14. Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to present findings to management and others are required.
  15. Ability to analyze, write, calculate, plan, explain, and investigate is required.
