ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

* Learn and remain updated on STPE chemistry and its use in Adhesives, Sealants and Coatings.
* Safe operation of R&D lab equipment as well as production equipment at customer's manufacturing site.
* Help customers decide which product is right for them and how to use it.
* Develop experimental formulas and make evaluations in the lab under the supervision of the laboratory manager to fulfill
customer's requests.
* Provide feedback to Sales and R&D manager about product usage and possible enhancements.
* Technical support to customers by providing a quick answer to technical inquiries.
* Evaluate new technologies and competitive products to devise methods so Kaneka can differentiate and compete better in
the market.
* Prepare samples and marketing materials to support customer engagement and sales efforts.
* Participate in customers' plant/lab start-ups and support product launch.
* Attend industrial conferences, workshops, training sessions and association meetings to stay updated on market trends and
technological advancements.
* Write reports of call or other reports on valued information from the market. Have such reports and information shared
among the other staff members through Sales Force CRM
* Complete a monthly report on status of R&D projects in the opportunities pipeline.
* When needed, supervise the technicians and to ensure safe and smooth operation in MS Lab.

OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES

* Very important to follow all safety procedures. At the site and at customer locations.
* Present technical information in a comprehensive way and adjust to the audience based on their level of knowledge.
* Attend educational workshops, review professional publications, establishing personal networks and keep abreast of industry
trends and related compliance issues within the area of responsibilities.
* Support sales team during tradeshows or other key industry events.
* Develop articles and reports that can be published or presented to target audience.

2 years: Research/development role for a chemical/plastics
