A Brief Overview

Provides safe efficient age specific nursing care to patients/families using the nursing process in order to assist them to attain, maintain, regain, and sustain optimal health status.

Hours: 7 am to 530 pm work 4 - 10 hour days.

On Call Requirements: Saturday 930 p to 7 am Sunday call is 24 rotating depending on staffing levels but you are the back up for Sundays Get paid $3 an hour for call and then Time and half when you would com in.

Location: This position will support our West Regions - Avon, Elyria, Parma, Samaritan and St. John's.

What You Will Do

  • Implements the nursing process by delivering effective relationship based nursing care.

  • Develops self and contributes to the professional practice of nursing.
  • Displays leadership that influences optimal clinical and operational outcomes.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Complies with all policies and standards.
  • For specific duties and responsibilities, refer to documentation provided by the department during orientation.
  • Must abide by all requirements to safely and securely maintain Protected Health Information (PHI) for our patients. Annual training, the UH Code of Conduct and UH policies and procedures are in place to address appropriate use of PHI in the workplace.
  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program required, BSN preferred
  • Current RN licensure in the State of Ohio required
  • Professional Certification from approved organization preferred
  • Current BLS Provider Certification, issued by the American Heart Association or must be obtained during Nursing Orientation
