 The Human Resources Generalist supports the day-to-day operations of the HR Department and provides advice, assistance, and follow-up on company policies and procedures. This position coordinates the resolution of policy-related and procedural issues and inquiries. Responsibilities are in the following functional areas: HR office management, employee relations, Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS), HR policy administration, benefit administration, and recruiting & selection.  At Leprino Foods, starting compensation for this role typically ranges between $80,000 and $94,000. This position has an annual target bonus of 5%. 
  
 
   
  - Support the Plant HR Manager in fostering a strong culture, driving organizational design, developing leaders, and championing Company initiatives.
 - Partner with a designated business unit to deliver exceptional service that aligns with our strategic objectives.
 - Provide valuable HR guidance and support to front-line leadership, empowering them to succeed.
 - Analyze trends and metrics, collaborating with our HR group to develop innovative solutions, programs, and policies.
 - Resolve complex employee relations issues with empathy and fairness.
 - Conduct thorough and objective investigations, ensuring transparency and respect.
 - Coach and mentor front-line supervisors to develop their leadership skills and boost employee engagement.
 - Foster a culture of continuous improvement through effective performance management practices.
 - Lead change management projects to drive positive transformations within the business unit.
 - Ensure compliance with federal, California state, and local employment laws.
 - Conduct internal audits of HR policies and procedures to maintain adherence and quality.
 - Provide day-to-day guidance and support on various HR matters, including benefits, compensation, leaves of absence, conflict resolution, performance management, and recognition.
 - Support the growth and development of the HR team through coaching and mentorship.
 
   
  
 
 You Have At Least (Required Qualifications):  
 
   
  - A Bachelor's in HR, business, or similar fields including three (3) years of experience as an HR Associate, Specialist or Generalist within a manufacturing environment.
 - Familiar with HR fundamentals and best practices, and the application of them in manufacturing operations.
 - Working knowledge of benefits, compensation, and leave of absence management.
 - Effective analytical and problem solving skills.
 - Demonstrated investigation skills and excellent documantation skills.
 - Solid knowledge of California and Federal employment law and practices.
 - Proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite programs.
 - Effective oral and written communication skills.
 - Demonstrated interpersonal and coaching skills.
 - Excellent organizational skills.
 
   
  
 
 We Hope You Also Have (Preferred Qualifications):  
 
   
  - Experience in employment law, business, OD and planning, employee relations, safety, and training.
 - PHR, SPHR, or SHRM-CP (and SCP) certification.
