Job responsibilities
Training Leadership & Strategic Vision
- Develop and implement a strategic training framework that aligns with company objectives and supports operational excellence.
- Oversee and mentor Training Specialists, ensuring high-quality training delivery and continuous professional development.
- Analyze site inspection findings and oversight visit trends to tailor training programs that address identified gaps and mitigate future risks.
- Demonstrate the impact of training initiatives by linking improvements to operational, compliance, and performance outcomes.
- Stay informed on industry trends, regulatory changes, and audit findings to proactively adapt training strategies.
Quality-Driven Training Development
- Oversee the creation and refinement of training content, ensuring it meets compliance, operational, and role-specific needs.
- Utilize site inspection findings and oversight visit trends to design targeted training programs that address root causes of non-compliance and enhance operational effectiveness.
- Monitor performance trends, audit reports, and quality findings to identify systemic gaps and implement strategic training improvements.
- Present training impact reports to leadership, demonstrating effectiveness and recommending adjustments.
Training Program Execution & Assessment
- Lead the development and delivery of role-specific, leadership, compliance, and skill-based training programs.
- Ensure training is data-driven, adjusting programs based on oversight visit findings, KPIs, participant feedback, and trend analysis.
- Support cross-functional training initiatives, including role cross-training and upskilling programs.
- Collaborate with operational leadership to ensure training supports behavioral and competency growth and drives continuous improvement.
Team Leadership & Collaboration
- Guide and support Training Specialists in content development, facilitation, and program refinement.
- Foster a culture of learning, innovation, and accountability within the training team.
- Ensure alignment with key business stakeholders, including Clinical Operations, Learning Centers, FSP, and Project Management Offices.
- Partner with Change Management teams to develop training strategies for new initiatives and process improvements.
Develop training framework designed to support Functional Service Provider partnerships in collaboration with customers
- Establish and lead the training framework designed to support customer partnerships, balancing training, performance quality, governance, and continuous improvement.
- Participate in Steering Committee meetings with customer training teams to ensure alignment with partnership strategic goals, escalations, and oversight.
- Partner actively with our customer training & quality oversight teams to oversee ongoing training content development, training delivery and quality standards.
Operational Excellence & Continuous Improvement
- Regularly assess training effectiveness, using oversight visit trends, site inspection data, and operational feedback to refine programs.
- Build business cases and ROI justifications for training initiatives, ensuring efficient resource utilization.
- Oversee the implementation of technology-driven training solutions to improve accessibility, engagement, and performance.
Provides strategic oversight for an assigned, single function within the FSP space to ensure operational excellence.
* Responsible for executing on multi-year business plan that maps out projected growth of the FSP offerings.
* Supports Business Development strategies for an assigned group of customers that drive awards and market share growth via customer presentations, participation in bid defenses, collation of pertinent study conduct information, and networking.
* Collaborate with functional operations to provide FSP strategy and to review proposals for an assigned BU or multiple BU's.
* Provides insight and recommendations on progress of assigned FSP functions/projects, via analysis of utilization and realization data, timelines, financial data and overall metrics. Provides inputs for status, resourcing, and tracking reports as well as functional area plans to senior management for development of process improvement plans or maintenance plans for high performing FSP projects.
* As necessary, manages escalations and difficulties, which may arise in project conduct between internal leaders and the customer. Facilitates team building and communication.
* May serve as a Company representative at professional meetings or seminars.

Qualifications
What we're looking for
* BA/BS in business management, life sciences, or equivalent combined education and experience.
* MBA or higher degree preferred.
* Experience actively managing financial and operational aspects of functional areas.
* Thorough knowledge of operations, finance, proposals, and the overall industry required.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint), email, and voicemail.
* Flexibility and the ability to mentor and manage new senior level staff and to handle multiple tasks to meet deadlines delivering high quality work in a dynamic environment.
* Strong presentation, documentation, and interpersonal skills as well as a team-oriented approach.

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $118,700 to $178,000. The base salary range represents the anticipated low and high of the Syneos Health range for this position. Actual salary will vary based on various factors such as the candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies, and proficiency for the role.
