YOUR MISSION
Job Overview: The Senior Account Executive prepares and executes the commercial strategy for key retail accounts in North America with the aim to drive a sustainable and profitable business. In the role you drive revenue to exceed both sales and margin targets. Next to that you will build a strong relationship with existing (key account) customers and pro-actively explore new commercial opportunities that add value to our business development. You work directly with the Head of Sales North America. Key Responsibilities:
Defines profitable sales and business plans per customer and works to meet and achieve these in collaboration with the sales support and other functions. Monitors credit performance of customers to ensure solvency and to minimize the risk of non-payment and/or stock returns. Builds, agrees, ensures and facilitates shipping of the orderbook per customer through main sell-in period each year, as well as timely execution of additional order opportunities throughout the season. Continues sales analysis to manage product life cycles, inventory levels, and capitalize on successes and addresses issues as needed. Monitor competitor's activities and performance, along with implementing strategies and tactics to compete. He/she ensures market expertise and knowledge. Expand sales network in line with channel strategy per market, actively looking for appropriate new sales partners by defining market needs and support, facilitate and propose (new) ways to increase sales. Conducts contract/commercial negotiations with customers when needed. Travel to meet with key customers in person is required on a regular basis. Other occurring relevant activities and/or projects that help the business development of the North American market.
YOUR TALENT
Qualifications & Experience:
Bachelor of University Degree. 7+ years of experience in similar sales position, working knowledge of the US retail environment with specific knowledge of the value distribution. Industry based understanding of the consumer within sports & fashion. Strong understanding of retail sales practices within specific account base. Commercial, connector, communicative. Strong analytical, retail math & order book management, fluent in Excel and PowerPoint skills, and overall business orientation. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and make recommendations on potential solutions. Open communication and good listening skills. Technical product knowledge. Ability to convincingly present category knowledge using sales and (spreadsheet) software tools.
