Architectural Framing Systems (AFS) is a segment within Apogee that is a provider of aluminum windows, curtainwall (soon to be retired), storefront and entrance systems. We offer an integrated set of capabilities including design, engineering, extrusion, finishing, fabrication, and assembly.

Position Summary

The Supervisor, Product Data is responsible for leading a team of Product Data Specialists in managing and maintaining accurate product data across systems to support business operations. This role ensures data integrity, consistency, and compliance with internal and external standards while driving process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in product data management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Team Leadership & Development
    • Lead, coach, and develop a team of Product Data Specialists, fostering a high-performance culture.
    • Set clear goals and expectations, provide ongoing feedback, and conduct performance evaluations.
    • Identify training and development opportunities to enhance team skills in data management and system proficiency.
  • Product Data Management
    • Oversee the creation, maintenance, and validation of product data across multiple platforms, ensuring accuracy and consistency.
    • Develop and enforce data governance policies, including naming conventions, classification, and attribute standardization.
    • Monitor data quality and implement corrective actions to address discrepancies or errors.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Sales, and IT, to ensure data alignment and process efficiency.
  • Process Improvement & System Optimization
    • Identify and implement process improvements to streamline data entry, validation, and management.
    • Partner with IT and other stakeholders to enhance data systems, integrations, and automation.
    • Support system upgrades, testing, and enhancements related to product data management.
  • Compliance & Reporting
    • Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and data governance standards.
    • Generate reports and analytics to support decision-making and business operations.
    • Act as a key resource for internal stakeholders requiring product data insights.

Experience & Skills

  • Education:
    • Bachelor's degree in Business, Data Management, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Experience:
    • 3+ years of experience in product data management, master data, or related functions.
    • 1+ years of supervisory or leadership experience preferred.
  • Required Skills:
    • Strong understanding of ERP, PIM, or PLM systems and data governance principles.
    • Proficiency in Excel and data analysis tools; experience with SQL or Power BI is a plus.
    • Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
    • Ability to work cross-functionally and drive collaboration between teams.
