TRUMPF Inc.'s registered Apprenticeship program allows you to earn while you learn. In this position, you will master your trade through a combination of on-the-job training and classroom instruction. We will cover the cost of your college tuition in a related manufacturing program. Upon completion of this 2 year / 4,000 hour program, the Connecticut Department of Labor's Office of Apprenticeship Training provides an industry recognized certificate of completion.

  • Learn to manufacture a TRUMPF Product (automation / machine)
  • Gain technical knowledge and TRUMPF product knowledge through participation in classroom training at TRMPF Training Department.
  • Gain founded technical knowledge through successful completion of courses provided by colleges and/or technical institutions.
  • Gain knowledge of TRUMPF internal processes through completion of assignments in various departments.
  • Complete written reports after completion of each training segment to document training outcome. Participate in projects, Continuous Improvement and SYNCHRO activities.
  • Travel to other TRUMPF facilities in the US or overseas for training purposes.
  • Apply knowledge and skills gained by producing TRUMPF Products (laser/machine/sub assemblies).

Experience:

Must have excellent learning skills, good communication and listening skills. Ability to follow instructions and organize to complete tasks fully and on time.

Education:

High school, higher education, or vocational school.
