In This Role, You Will:

The Director of Supply Chain is responsible for leading and executing all supply chain, purchasing, logistics, and material control activities to ensure efficient operations, cost optimization, and supplier performance. This role plays a critical part in scaling the company's supply chain processes to support growth while maintaining compliance with medical device industry standards. The ideal candidate has deep experience in medical device supply chain management, supplier negotiations, inventory planning, and ERP system utilization. This is an in-office position based in Pleasanton, CA.



  • Strategic Supply Chain Management: Oversee all supply chain functions, including procurement, inventory control, and material planning, to support business operations and company growth.


  • Inventory Optimization: Ensure proper material inventory levels are maintained to meet production and business demands while minimizing excess stock.


  • Supplier Sourcing & Qualification: Partner with R&D, Manufacturing, and Quality teams to identify, qualify, and manage supplier performance, ensuring high-quality and cost-effective sourcing.


  • Process Development & Scalability: Establish and enhance supply chain processes, ensuring efficiency and compliance as the company scales.


  • Cost Reduction & Efficiency Initiatives: Continuously drive cost-saving initiatives through supplier selection, contract negotiation, make/buy analysis, and low-cost country sourcing.


  • Performance Monitoring: Develop and maintain key performance metrics to track supplier performance, inventory levels, and overall supply chain effectiveness.


  • ERP & Systems Management: Develop a roadmap to leverage NetSuite to optimize supply chain visibility, data accuracy, and decision-making.


  • Regulatory & Compliance: Ensure supply chain operations adhere to FDA and other regulatory and QMS requirements.


  • Collaboration & Leadership: Work closely with cross-functional teams and provide leadership to the supply chain team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.


  • Other duties as assigned.


Who You Will Report To:



  • Senior Vice President of Operations


Requirements:



  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or equivalent; MBA preferred.


  • Experience: 10+ years of supply chain management experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role within the medical device industry.


  • ERP Expertise: Experience with ERP systems, NetSuite a plus.


  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).


  • Organizational Skills: Highly organized with strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.


  • Communication & Negotiation: Strong verbal and written communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.


  • Supplier Relationship Management: Ability to develop and maintain strong supplier relationships while protecting company interests.


  • Teamwork & Leadership: Ability to work collaboratively and lead teams with minimal supervision.


  • Employee Development and Management: Ability to lead, develop, and manage a mix of professional and hourly employees to achieve their potential.


  • Problem-Solving & Urgency: Strong sense of urgency and ability to proactively address supply chain challenges.


  • Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with medical device industry regulations, including FDA requirements.


  • Certifications: APICS certification is desirable.


  • Work location: Pleasanton, CA


  • Travel: 10%


  • Full time employment


  • Must be able to lift 10 pounds and sit for up to 8 hours/day


  • Compliance with relevant county, state, and federal rules regarding vaccinations.

  • Competitive salary with a generous annual base pay range between $220,000 and $230,000
