Job Description:

The Senior Quality Engineer will lead and execute quality assurance initiatives in our ISO 9001 certified manufacturing facility, working closely with the Quality Manager to ensure regulatory compliance and maintain quality standards. This role will be responsible for implementing and optimizing quality control systems, managing quality documentation, and spearheading continuous improvement projects across manufacturing processes and products. As a key member of the quality team, they will support business objectives by reducing defects, improving yield rates, and enhancing operational efficiency while maintaining the highest standards of product quality and customer satisfaction. The position involves collaboration with cross-functional teams to develop and implement quality strategies that align with organizational goals and drive operational excellence.

Annual Salary range of $108,000-139,000 based on applicant profile.

Your challenges:

  • Maintain and improve the ISO 9001 quality management system
    • Document and update quality procedures
    • Conduct regular system reviews and updates
    • Ensure compliance with latest ISO standards
  • Develop and implement quality control procedures and testing methodologies
    • Design and validate testing protocols
    • Establish acceptance criteria for products
    • Create inspection checklists and documentation
  • Lead internal and external quality audits
    • Plan and execute regular internal audits
    • Coordinate with third-party certification bodies
    • Manage supplier quality audits
  • Analyze quality metrics and implement corrective actions
    • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs)
    • Perform root cause analysis
    • Develop and track corrective action plans
  • Train staff on quality procedures and best practices
    • Develop training materials and programs
    • Conduct quality awareness sessions
    • Assess training effectiveness

  • Bachelor of Science in Robotics Engineering, Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field

Experience:

Required

  • 5+ years of quality engineering experience in manufacturing or equivalent engineering discipline
  • Extensive knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 quality management systems, including certification requirements, documentation standards, and successful implementation experience in manufacturing environments
  • Advanced proficiency in statistical process control (SPC) methodologies, including capability analysis, control charts, measurement system analysis (MSA), and design of experiments (DOE)
  • Demonstrated expertise with modern quality management software such as SAP QM, Minitab, or equivalent tools, plus experience implementing and maintaining quality data collection systems and analytics platforms

Travel Required:

  • 10-15% travel for supplier audits and quality management purposes
