Department Summary The Department of Biological Sciences, one of four departments in the College of Science, has over 40 faculty, 175 graduate and 3,000 undergraduate students. Our faculty is a community of scholars dedicated to research and teaching in Ecology, Environmental Science, Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, Physiology, Neuroscience, Plant Biology, and Organismal environment interactions. We offer Bachelor's degrees in Biology, Biochemistry, Ecology, Medical Laboratory Science, and Forensic Science, and Master's and PhDs in Biology, Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, and Environmental Science. We measure our success by the success of our students and the quality of our intellectual contributions to society. Position Overview The Department of Biological Sciences seeks qualified individuals for its Adjunct Assistant pool and welcomes applicants at any time. This posting is for the Fall 2025, Spring 2026, and Summer 2026 semesters. The specific laboratory courses available vary from semester to semester and openings to lead these labs develop on a periodic basis, depending upon department needs, sufficient student enrollment, and dean approval. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree with 18 hours of advanced coursework in the Biological Sciences (or related area specific to the laboratory course). Knowledge, Skills and Abilities N/A Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's degree in the field of study specific to the laboratory course assignment such as Biology, Biochemistry/Molecular Biology, Microbiology, Ecology, etc. Required License/Registration/Certifications N/A Work Schedule: varies based on assignment Driving University Vehicle: No Security Sensitive: This is a Security Sensitive Position.
