GENERAL FUNCTION: The ServiceNow Lead Platform Engineer will be responsible for technical leadership, system administration, defining and executing procedures and system support. This includes partnering with stakeholders to deploy new solutions as well as maintaining existing functions. Responsibilities include maintaining the platform, implementing Releases, participating in Audits, and other technical tasks. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- System Administration: Perform day-to-day administration of the ServiceNow platform, including user management, configuration, and maintenance.
- Incident and Problem Management: Assist with incident and problem resolution for end users and customers, ensuring timely and effective resolution of issues.
- Change Management: Implement and manage changes to the ServiceNow platform.
- Configuration Management: Maintain ServiceNow configuration parameters to enable desired functionality, performance and security.
- Vulnerability Management: Identify, prioritize, and respond to security vulnerabilities within the ServiceNow platform.
- Patching and Upgrades: Plan, coordinate, and execute ServiceNow patches and upgrades to ensure the platform remains secure, reliable, and up-to-date.
- License Management: Manage ServiceNow licenses, including tracking usage, optimizing license allocation, and ensuring compliance with licensing agreements.
- Reporting and Dashboards: Create and manage reports and dashboards to provide insights into system performance and usage.
- Compliance and Documentation: Maintain appropriate controls and documentation to ensure compliance with audit requirements.
- Collaboration: Maintain effective partnerships with operations and engineering teams to drive service improvement.
- Training and Support: Provide training and support to end users and other administrators.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay current on IT trends and best practices related to ServiceNow administration and continuously improve processes and procedures.
- Other Duties: Perform other duties as assigned.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: None MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Information Systems or comparable with 5+ years of experience
- 5+ years of ServiceNow Experience
- One or more ServiceNow Certifications - ServiceNow Administrator (CSA), Implementation Specialist (CIS), Application Developer (CAD)
- Knowledge of functional software design
- Understanding of ServiceNow best practices and methodologies
- Familiarity with networking
- Understanding of security best practices
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Strong collaboration skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
