Your Tasks:

The Clinical Applications Manager is responsible for securing and expanding the clinical cellular therapy market for Miltenyi Biotec products. This role involves communicating product and therapy-related concepts to clinical customers within a defined territory. The key responsibilities include managing sales within biopharmaceutical, biotech or academic and hospital accounts, identifying new opportunities, and driving business growth in this sector. This position requires strategic account management skills, including building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders and developing a deep understanding of customer needs. The Clinical Applications Manager also collaborates with cross-functional teams to create sales strategies and materials, conducts product demonstrations, and stays updated on industry trends to identify new business opportunities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:



  • The Clinical Applications Manager will be responsible for driving sales growth in the cell and gene therapy market by promoting our technology and adoption of our techniques and instrumentation. You will work closely with researchers, scientists, and other industry professionals to understand their needs and provide tailored solutions in the ever growing and changing Cell and Gene Therapy Market but also including Graft Engineering and stem cell transplant.
  • Manage sales within a defined territory.
  • Communicate product and therapy-related concepts to clinical customers to drive sales growth.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the cell and gene therapy market.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including researchers, scientists, and executives.
  • Understand the technical aspects of our cell selection technology and effectively communicate its benefits to customers.
  • Conduct product demonstrations and presentations to showcase our technology's capabilities.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop sales materials and campaigns.
  • Prepare and present sales proposals and quotes to customers.
  • Attend industry conferences and trade shows to promote our products and network with potential clients.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, competitive landscape, and emerging technologies.
  • Provide feedback to the product development team based on customer insights and market trends.


Requirements:



  • Bachelor's degree in a scientific or technical field (e.g., Biology, Immunology, Biomedical Engineering), and 5 years of sales related experience; Master's degree and 3 years of sales related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Proven experience in technical sales, preferably in the cell and gene therapy market.
  • Strong knowledge of cellular therapy and related technologies.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think strategically.
  • Willingness to travel as required (up to 50%).
  • Self-motivated.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license and evidence of insurance/insurability.

Work Environment:

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. This job is performed in a variety of facilities. Each person performing this job must have a home office environment, which is temperature controlled. This job requires the person to be mobile to visit customer sites. Due to the travel requirements, this position may be exposed to natural elements of nature. Used research/clinical equipment may be handled in this job and strict SOPs and PPE must be worn.

The anticipated base salary for the Boston, MA area has been established at $122,336.25 - $165,513.75/year. The total compensation of the finalist(s) selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, internal equity, experience, education, specialization, skills, abilities, and training. The above total compensation represents the Company's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. In addition to your salary, the Company offers a comprehensive benefits package including health, vision, and dental insurance, plus a 401(k) plan. All benefits are subject to eligibility requirements. Certain positions are eligible for additional forms of compensation such as bonuses, commissions, or car allowance.
