Location: Medical Center Office Building (901 7th Ave)Department: Data Science and AnalyticsShift: First Shift (United States of America)Standard Weekly Hours: 40Summary: The Director, Clinical & Translational Science will serve as a Scientist who will develop and lead a pediatric research division toward national recognition for breakthroughs transforming clinical practice by developing, analyzing, and rapidly diffusing innovative solutions to deliver high value care to our patients. Practically, the Director applies extensive scientific, drug, and medical device research expertise to oversee cross-functional research teams that are tasked with conducting investigator-initiated research, identifying and validating novel diagnostic and therapeutic technologies, and translates these insights and findings to maximally benefit patients. As a mentor, the Director will support and develop the research careers of other professionals at Cook Children's. This leader serves as a key point of contact between Cook Children's Research Administration Office (RAO) and Information Services (IS) for safe and effective use of protected information and technology. The Director stays current in clinical research practices, good clinical practices, OHRP, and FDA regulations, incorporating this knowledge into system planning and deployment, and serves as a knowledgeable resource about the clinical research study process and procedures at Cook Children's.
