GENERAL FUNCTION

The Continuous Improvement leader will support the evolution of EssilorLuxottica's lean culture to raise the region's Continuous Improvement function. The leader will inspire the team to improve performance in safety, quality, output, and efficiency to meet financial goals. Working collaboratively across functions, this role will define Continuous Improvement strategies.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES



  • Work as a central resource in Continuous Improvement to implement and sustain CI activities in Rx Operations.
  • Determine strategy to ensure Process Improvement standards are created, designed, and implemented.
  • Train/coach/mentor personnel in Lean & CI tools such as 5S, Lean standard work, PDCA, A3 Kaizens, Kanban, value stream mapping, visual management, flow production, SMED, variation reduction/DMAIC
  • Maintain Kaizen sustainment trackers & execute training.
  • Participate in development of CI project plans / methodology deployment with Operations executives.
  • Collaborate closely with Finance Teams to certify projects with a clear definition of expectation in terms of results
  • Actively identify potential risks & issues relating to the delivery of projects & manage a resolution process in a timely manner, only escalating major issues
  • Drive the execution of the Kaizen events , Workshops and Lean Projects
  • Create and facilitate Daily CI Management processes in designated areas (GEMBA).
  • Executes problem solving/root cause analysis tools (Six Sigma methodology) to identify and develop improvement programs.
  • Leads use of automated data analysis to expedite reaction to human error issues and works on data as necessary to drive improvement.
  • Acts as the liason between Innovation Engineering activity, maintenance improvements, and the facility leadership teams to drive awareness and issue resolution that helps sustain/improve quality results.


BASIC QUALIFICATIONS



  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or equivalent experience in Leadership Development, Organizational Development.
  • 7+ years of Continuous Improvement project management experience
  • 10+ years of experience in a Continuous Improvement role supporting Operations / manufacturing environment
  • Master of Lean Principles, Standardization, Six Sigma tools, Strategy & SPC techniques
  • Track-record as a successful "Change Agent" for front line roles such as manufacturing, quality, operation or engineering manager.
  • Proficient computer skills in Microsoft office, SAP
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with track-record of delivering results that directly impacted the bottom-line
  • Strong planning, organizational & project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities at the same time.
  • Ability to build partnerships and work collaboratively with others to meet shared objectives
  • Ability to work with cross-functional teams , Matrix & indirect organization
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills



PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS




  • Working knowledge of managing & influencing organizational change
  • Strong business acumen and analytical skills to apply knowledge of business to advance the organization's goals
  • Experience creating learning strategies using alternative modes and technology

Pay Range: 121,694.30-151,051.60

Employee pay is determined by multiple factors, including geography, experience, qualifications, skills and local minimum wage requirements. In addition, you may also be offered a competitive bonus and/or commission plan, which complements a first-class total rewards package. Benefits may include health care, retirement savings, paid time off/vacation, and various employee discounts.
