Responsibilities

Providence Medical Group (PMG) is looking for a Patient Service Representative to join our dynamic team!

Shift's Available: Days

Employment Type: Full Time

Hours: 8:00a - 4:30p

The Patient Service Representative duties include, but are not limited to:

  • interviews the patient or his/her representative to obtain identifying and basic demographics to prep for upcoming visits
  • schedules patients in their clinic and assists with scheduling them in others
  • verifies insurance coverage, collects co-pays and prior balances from patients, reconciles and prepares deposits, and troubleshoots billing issues
  • greets and checks in patients andles all incoming phone calls and routes to appropriate staff or initiates messages
  • coordinates clinic business processes such as supply ordering, sales calls, record release, fax and mail processing
  • must be able to: (1) operate a computer to accurately input and retrieve data; (2) communicate with the population served, staff, and providers utilizing age specific techniques.;(3) maintain proficiency in medical terminology; (4) project a positive and helpful attitude.


Qualifications

Education and Work Experience

  • previous medical setting/hospital experience, preferred
  • knowledge of medical terminology, preferred
  • customer service experience, preferred
  • high school graduate or GED equivalent, required
