Description Acara Solutions and our client in Scottsdale, AZ have a contract-to-direct hire position Digital Signal Processing (DSP) Engineer - MUOS Program Hybrid and for the right person possible remote work Job Summary: We are looking for a DSP Engineer with expertise in C++, real-time embedded systems, and Digital Signal Processing (DSP) to support the MUOS program. The role focuses on developing and optimizing real-time DSP solutions for mission-critical communication systems. Key Technical Qualifications: 2-5 years of experience with Digital Signal Processing (DSP) in embedded real-time operating systems. Proficient in C++ programming, including constructs like classes, objects, inheritance, polymorphism, and operator overloading. Experience developing real-time C++ applications in a Linux environment. Knowledge of Universal Software Radio Peripheral (USRP) and Ettus Software-Defined Radios. Experience with DSP libraries (e.g., FFT) for signal processing. Proficiency in MATLAB for signal analysis and DSP algorithm development. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Intel compilers and performance optimizations. Familiarity with deploying DSP components in a containerized environment. Job Requirements Required Skills / Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Software Engineering or Science or Engineering or Mathematics Minimum 5 years of Digital Signal Processing (DSP), embedded real-time operating systems, C++ programing experience. Preferred Skills / Qualifications: Master's Degree Agile experience Ability to lead the software development process Expertise in applying technical standards and methodologies to solve challenges in creative ways Collaborative team player eager to provide technical leadership and positioning others for success Thorough knowledge of technology trends and willingness to champion new ideas and process improvements Commitment to ongoing professional development for yourself and others Additional Information: Upon offer of employment, the individual will be subject to a background check and a drug screen.
