Endo Tech - GI Chesapeake VA Pay From: $18 Per Hour MUST: Experienced Medical Assistant or Endoscopy Tech Assisting with procedures Comfortable cleaning scopes and equipment 1 year of experience working in a private practice setting, gsatro or endoscopy experience a plus Assisting with exams and procedures Obtaining vital signs Cleaning and sterilizing room and equipment Flexible to work front office if needed and obtain pre-authorizations Ability to learn new skills easily Must have strong documentation skills and proficient utilizing EMR Experience in Gastroenterology, Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, or Urgent Care HS diploma DUTIES: The Medical Assistant - Endo Tech will be responsible for but not limited to the following: Assisting with procedures Cleaning and sanitizing rooms and equipment-scopes Perform selected clinical and administrative duties Room patients Scheduling appointments and obtain pre-authorizations Prepare patients for examination and treatment. Take patient histories and vital signs Prepare exam and treatment rooms with necessary instruments Prepare and maintain supplies and equipment for procedures, including cleaning and sterilization Assist with scheduling of appointments Maintain patient files, records and other information Attend required meetings and participate in committees as requested Work closely with providers to receive guidance and instruction for treating patients Perform direct patient care as instructed by the provider Complete appropriate documentation on all patients Maintain appropriate communication and good interpersonal skills with supervisors, staff a patients to ensure coordinated efforts and provision of high quality service Utilize formal channels of communication to report concerns, personal requests and patient issues Respect patients' rights to privacy and confidentiality Maintain an orderly and professional working atmosphere Report to work properly dressed according to the approved dress code Perform prescription related duties such as refills, prior authorizations and scheduling patients as required Provide customer service Take telephone messages for doctors Quadrant is an affirmative action/equal opportunity employer.
