Location: Stephenson Cancer Center Shift: Full-Time (40 hours/week) Monday-Friday 8a-5p We are seeking care team members to join the Head and Neck surgery oncology team at the Stephenson Cancer Center, the only NCI designated center in Oklahoma. Head and Neck cancers encompass those affecting the throat, voice box, tonsils, skin, thyroid, and surrounding areas. Caring for this patient population is complex and multidisciplinary but incredibly rewarding. The care team, consisting of RNs, LPNs, MAs, and CTAs, will collaborate with 6-8 providers per week to manage a patient load of 60-80 individuals daily, spanning from cancer surveillance to end-of-life care. The Medical Support Assistant works alongside Physicians and Advanced Practice Providers to provide direct patient care according to state and federal guidelines. This position plays an important role in the ambulatory setting by not only performing clinical and administrative duties but also helping patients feel at ease and understanding provider instructions. Minimum Requirements Education: High School Diploma or GED required. Experience: 0-3 years of experience in Patient Care as a Medical Assistant or similar patient care role preferred. License/Certification/Registration: Basic Life Support (American Heart Association) certification required upon hire. Knowledge/Skills/Abilities Required
