Value Analyst

The Value Analyst will estimate and provide timely reports and develop best-in-class processes. Will assist in developing product cost targets for the overall machine, subsystem, and components. Ensures concept selections, designs, manufacturing, supplier processes and sourcing meets cost target. Continuously monitors cost estimates versus target and leads recovery actions with Platform, Engineering, Manufacturing or Purchasing, as required.

Qualified candidates will have the strong ability to estimate parts, the knowledge and experience enabling them to track cost estimates on projects, record & develop best-in-class processes, and must demonstrate the ability to grow into a management level position.

Providing timing, cost and quality for current product and timing, cost, quality and adherence to Global Product Development 3.0 for new programs. Critical to achieving those targets is the VA Specialist meeting internal departmental goals such as timely and accurate TCEs, approving Engineering Change Orders accordingly and accurate, consistent Change Review Board reporting along with others deliverables.
• Owns the front to back process of current product management for the Value Analysis Team by participating in design reviews, calculating cost analysis and business cases, along with developing cost estimates to ensure the platform budget is adhered to.
• Collaborates with internal manufacturing partners, contract manufacturers, buyers, designers and product specialists to optimize designs and costs for manufacturability driving for the highest quality product for the lowest price.
• Will investigate and propose alternative and lower cost methods for tooling, design and manufacturing driving for low cost, high quality solutions to various design scenarios.
• The core function the VA Specialist will perform on current product that has a major impact on the platform being able to achieve its stated goals is in calculating timely and accurate technical cost estimates (TCEs). Also, the ability to track multiple projects simultaneously is critical.
• The VA Specialist will also interact with engineering personnel to gain an understanding of technical designs to allow for accurate costing. This individual should be able to develop strong working relationships with manufacturing and manufacturing engineers to facilitate discussion around manufacturing processes and alternatives. Communicating effectively with purchasing and suppliers is critical as the Project Engineering Senior Specialist is an integral part of technical reviews with them to ensure the platform is paying the appropriate amounts for parts.

The annual salary for this role is $84,000 - $123,000 (Actual salaries will vary and will be based on various factors, such as skill, experience and qualification for the role.)

• Bachelors degree in Engineering - Industrial, Mechanical, Manufacturing or Agricultural
• Cost tracking tools used within CNH (COP, NPCT, CMS, SAP, GPP, PCM, aPriori)
• Experience working with formal gated product development processes.

Preferred:

• Experience and knowledge of the following manufacturing processes is desirable: machining, casting, forging, heat treatment, plastic and rubber molding, wire harness assembly, hydraulic system components, and coating systems (wet & powder paint lines).
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and general good level in Microsoft Office products. Big data analysis skills are desirable
• Additional degrees or certifications in Finance, Business, Project Management, Value Analysis, Cost Estimation and Negotiation are desirable.
• Able to present results simply and clearly.
• Self-motivated, independently able to manage workload
• Ability to travel (domestic and international) up to 15% of time.
