Behavioral Health Billing & Collections Representative

Become a Financial Detective & Help Keep the Numbers in Check!

Are you a problem-solver with a knack for numbers? Do you thrive in a fast-paced environment where every day brings new challenges? As a Behavioral Health Billing & Collections Representative, you'll be the mastermind behind managing billing and collections for the Behavioral Health Division. You'll be using your sharp skills to tackle claim denials, navigate complex insurance systems, and ensure payments flow smoothly. If you're detail-oriented, love diving into the nitty-gritty of healthcare billing, and enjoy helping others, this is the role for you!

What You'll Do:
  • Tackle Billing & Collections: You'll be the go-to person for handling all things billing and collections for Behavioral Health services. From processing claims to chasing down payments, you'll ensure everything is handled accurately and efficiently.

  • Crack the Code of Denials & Appeals: Claim denials don't stand a chance! You'll expertly navigate the denial and appeals process, ensuring we get the payments we deserve.

  • Be a System Pro: You'll work with a variety of electronic systems like DDE, EMOMED, and payer websites to keep things running smoothly.

  • Stay on Top of Regulations: With your deep knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and insurance regulations, you'll make sure we're always compliant and that billing is spot-on.

  • Code Like a Champ: You'll put your knowledge of ICD9/10 and CPT4 coding to good use, ensuring every claim is accurate and complete.

  • Solve Problems Like a Pro: When issues pop up, you'll use your problem-solving skills to resolve them quickly and efficiently, keeping everything on track.

  • Communicate with Ease: Whether it's talking to patients, insurance companies, or your team, you'll be a pro at clear, professional communication that helps keep everyone in the loop.

What We're Looking For:
  • Education: A High School Diploma or equivalent.

  • Experience: You've got at least 3 years of healthcare billing experience under your belt-preferably in the behavioral health field.

  • Denial and Appeals Knowledge: You're no stranger to the claims denial and appeals process and know how to handle them like a pro.

  • Tech Savvy: You're comfortable using Excel, Word, Outlook, and various billing software (like DDE and EMOMED) to get the job done.

  • Insurance Expertise: You know the ins and outs of Medicare, Medicaid, and other payer regulations.

  • Medical Terminology & Coding: You're fluent in ICD9/10 and CPT4 coding-because accurate billing starts with accurate codes.

  • Problem-Solving Skills: You love tackling challenges head-on and figuring out solutions, whether it's a billing issue or a complicated claim.

  • Communication: You've got strong written and verbal communication skills to interact with patients, insurance companies, and your team.

  • Experience with Electronic Systems: Familiar with DDE, EMOMED, and commercial payer websites? Even better!

Bonus Points (Preferred Qualifications):
  • Associate's Degree: If you've got one, it's a plus!

  • Certificate in Medical Billing: Got a certification? We love it, but it's not a deal breaker if you don't.

Why You'll Love This Role:
  • Impactful Work: Your work ensures that our Behavioral Health Division stays financially healthy, which means better care for our patients.

  • Growth Opportunities: This role is a great place to grow your skills and advance your career in healthcare billing and collections.

  • Supportive Team: You'll be part of a tight-knit team that values collaboration, efficiency, and helping each other succeed.

  • Solve Puzzles Every Day: If you love tackling complex challenges and finding solutions, every day will feel like a new adventure.
